You do not have to speak Italian to be an aupair in Italy, the home of fashion, design and great shopping – clothes, shoes, home wares, jewellery not to mention fantastic food! There are many wonderful sites to see: the leaning tower of Pisa, Florence, the David statue, Milan – the home of fashion, Rome – ancient ruins and the Vatican just to mention a few! Enjoy the wonderful summer sun or eat roasted chestnuts in the heart of winter!

There is always a demand for aupairs and those with a qualification are highly valued. Families will give preference to applicants with the JCR childminding/aupair certificate. Obtain your aupair certificate now through the on-line JCR Aupair course. Benefit by being given priority placement.

Age group:
18 – 30 Single only. 200 hours of childcare such as baybsitting is preferred. Applicants should preferably be non smokers and have a driving licence.
EU passport holders do not require a visa to aupair in Italy.
We offer 3, 6 and 12 months placements throughout the year.
Summer aupair placements mid-June to Mid-September.

Italian villaAu Pair

  1. Work for 5 hours a day for 5 days a week
  2. Baby sit for 2 evenings per week
  3. Have 2 free days
  4. Earn minimum 75 Euros per week

Au Pair Plus

  1. Work for 6 hours a day for 5 and a half days per week
  2. Baby sit for 2/3 evening per week
  3. Have 1 and a half days free
  4. Earn minimum 95 Euros per week

Mother's Help

  1. Work for 8 hour a day for 6 days a week
  2. Baby sit for 3 - 4 evenings per week
  3. Have 1days free
  4. Earn 135 Euros per week

Aupair applicants with in depth experience or qualifications are in a position to negotiate a rate above the minimum. Generally speaking you should have between 100-200 hours of babysitting experience or such like.

The above are guide lines. Each family has its own requirements.

Language classes are optional.

Health Cover is available through the reciprocal EU National Health arrangement. It is recommended that you take your own insurance if you prefer to see a private Doctor. The aupair is responsible for their own travel arrangements and costs.

We suggest that applicants learn some basic Italian prior to going.

Please note that the pocket money is just that. Should you wish to travel in Europe we suggest that you take additional money or a credit card with you.
