EU passport holders do not require a visa to aupair in Austria

Minimum experience is 50 hours of childcare but 200 hours is preferred. Qualified or well experienced nannies are welcome on this program. There is a demand for qualified or well experienced aupairs.

  • Work about 25 hours per week plus 1-2 evenings babysitting
  • Care of children plus light housework
  • Not less than 1.5 days per week
  • For a commitment of 1 year, a minimum of two weeks paid vacation are provided
  • Aupairs are provided with their own bedroom
  • Aupairs receive an amount of 60-80 Euros per week as pocket money depending on experience

Skiing in AustriaAupairs should preferably have a valid driving licence and preferably be a non smoker.

Health Cover is available through the reciprocal EU National Health arrangement. It is recommended that you take your own insurance if you prefer to see a private Doctor. The aupair is responsible for their own travel arrangements and costs. Some families will provide the return airfare.
