
Australian Aupair Programs

Australia is a very large country. There are many places to visit. Sydney and Melbourne are the largest cities with Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide being much of a size with about one million people. Families come from all over the country from smaller cities and towns as well as the big cities. English is the language spoken although as there are people living here from many different countries you can hear many different languages spoken. There are lovely beaches, rain forests, national parks. museums, art galleries, wonderful shops, arcades and malls. The train and bus services are excellent. Life is for living and enjoying in Australia. There are many places for young people to go to to enjoy themselves, coffee bars, restaurants, wine bars, clubs, movies, theatres, parks, recreation areas.
There is always a demand for aupairs and those with a qualification are highly valued. Families will give preference to applicants with the JCR childminding/aupair certificate. Obtain your aupair certificate now through the on-line JCR Aupair course. Benefit by being given priority placement.

Working Holiday Visa 12 months
Au Pairs
- A minimum of 200 hours childcare experience. Babysitting, volunteer work, after school care, church or youth groups. This does not include care of siblings.
- Work for 25 – 40 hours per week.
- Baby sit for 2/3 evenings per week. If over and above contracted number of hours per week payment is AU$6 – 10 per hour.
- Duties include caring for the children and light housework.
- Full driver’s licence preferable. Possible limited private use of family vehicle in free time.
- Minimum of two consecutive days per week free.
- Non-smoker.
- Spoken English of above average level.
- Earn from AU$150 to AU$220-250 per week depending on experience and hours worked. Live in, full board and lodge.
- Commitment is for minimum 6 months, longer placements are available and preferred.
Nannies
- Nanny qualification plus practical experience
- 40-60 hours per week AU$250- AU$400 per week live in depending on experience
- Non smoker
- Spoken English of above average level
- Sole charge of children
- Full driver’s licence
- 2 days free per week
- 6-12 month commitment
